## **Educational seminars on climate adaptation have begun in Kazakhstan.**
The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), launched a series of educational seminars on climate adaptation.
Participating were government officials, representatives of NGOs, scientific and educational institutions, as well as experts and specialists in the fields of:
agriculture
water resources management
forestry
and emergency response.
### **Seminars in Kazakhstan's regions**
Educational seminars have already been held in Aktau, Karaganda, and Pavlodar.
Participants—government officials, NGO representatives, scientists, and specialists from various industries—studied climate risk assessment methodology, analyzed climate threats, and mastered modern forecasting tools.
Representatives of the Republican Public Association "Climate Research Center" presented two reports:
on the impact of nanoplastics on the climate,
on the progression of climate disasters and their catastrophic consequences.
### **Results and Significance of the Initiative**
The seminars became an important platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience between specialists from across the country.
Discussions included the impact of pollution on ecosystems, the impact of climate change on soils, and the prediction of natural disasters.
The events strengthened professional ties and highlighted the importance of a comprehensive approach to climate change in Kazakhstan.
